Marilyn Tan Jewellery comprises limited edition and bespoke pieces and MTJ has pieces from her diffusion line. Marilyn Tan works in .925 silver, 18k white, yellow and rose gold as well as in hand-finished bronze and brass. She also employs materials such as raw unpolished precious and semi-precious stones and various crystals creating exquisite, distinctive pieces with a quirky edge.
Her unique creations reveal an amazing perspective, defined with a rare talent, while her designs and style appeal to strong, confident, independent people.
As a result of her bold outlook, Marilyn was invited to be on the panel of external examiners for the jewellery department of Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore.
An avid traveller, Marilyn’s work is inspired by the natural world, architecture and her own environment. Her extensive travels see her drawing ideas from as far afield as Bhutan, China, Japan, Peru, Chile, Patagonia and even the Antarctic.
The Marilyn Tan Jewellery and MTJ brands have rapidly attracted attention beyond Singapore. Her collections have been shown in Singapore, London and Paris at Tranoï and Premiere Classe during Fashion Week and are sold in Singapore, England, Canada, Colombia, USA and Hong Kong.

Corporate Responsibility
A strong believer in corporate and social responsibility, Marilyn collaborates with a collective of women who are all victims of human trafficking. She collaborates and provides product input to “Kumnit Thmey” (which means ‘new beginnings and ideas’ in Khmer), a social enterprise that provides re-educated victims with a means of earning a living from their newly acquired skills.
All packaging for Marilyn Tan Jewellery is created by the group and chosen for its quality and craftsmanship. Marilyn’s interest in supporting the group stems from her career as a Family Lawyer.
Marilyn Tan has established herself as one of Singapore’s top jewellery designers in the past 20 years, at the helm of two distinct brands – Marilyn Tan Jewellery and MTJ.
